  1. Thank you for the reply. Thats what I was leaning towards. Think Ill try to find some key ones and create a specific monitor for those events.
  2. Hey everyone, Thought I would get some feedback on this monitor. It certainly seems to make a lot of noise. Pretty much guaranteed every server will hit something in the list and open a ticket for this, and the ticket body only has part of the event viewer error message. What do you do? Do you have this monitor enabled? How do you deal with the tickets? Looking for some guidance on if we should disable it all together or how we can stop it being so noisy?
  3. Thanks, I have added this in and will see how it goes.
  4. Interesting, However the monitor is set to run daily.
  5. I just thought of this idea, but it could be an option. If you standardise your MAC antivirus, you could run a script to check for the antivirus, and if it is found, have it insert the AV name into the relevant SQL table for that computer ID so it shows up that AV is installed.
  6. Hey Guys, I am struggling to get Labtech behave with temp file cleanups. No matter what I do, it does not seem to work. I have used a combination of scripts found on these forums for the thorough cleanups and manual find files and delete for different locations, but still get 30+ disk cleanup tickets opening. It just seems like the script fires off from the monitor alert being detected, then doesnt really get anywhere, and it still says there is way to much size in temp files. Has anyone else experienced issues like this? Have you found a way to make it work more reliably? What resend inventory command should update the temp file size? Thanks
  7. Any chance you could upload the scripts so we can import please? I am having a hard time working out the correct script functions for some of these lines. Great idea what you have done!
  8. Ahh right, Not sure about AV Scan, but most of the lt server logs are in %programdata% If you have not already, I would open the solution centre and see if there is an update for the virus scan component.
  9. Looking at the last 5 lines will work for that. Netstat wont work as the program will have the port open, but it just wont be talking to the server it talks to, so netstat wont work. And the software manufacturer has not been able to give us any info in how we may be able to monitor if their program is actually working or not.
  10. Wow! Thank you so much, thats perfect. I had started looking at making a script to keep running, but this is a lot cleaner! I just added to only show the last 5 lines of the text file (as that will filter out if it was not working earlier but now is.) Only other thing that stuffed me up is I had to use single quotes for the log file path otherwise i got the error - The string is missing the terminator: ". Thank you.
  11. Hey Guys, We are trying to work out how we can monitor something for a client of ours. They have a software that runs on a server, and it writes to a log file. The log file format is Log-08_18_2016.log It will do one for each day. My first hurdle is to find a way to get the system to look at the most recent log file, then output the last 5-10 lines so labtech can check it. I have worked out that I can do the following in powershell to get the last few lines Get-Content Log-08_17_2016.log | Select-Object -last 5 Then I just need to look if those lines contain "Cannot connect to Appointuit Daemon" and if they do I can have it fail and restart the service. What I cannot work out how to do is, create something in Labtech to check the log file (every 10-15mins) and be looking at the one for todays date. Any help on how I can achieve this would be greatly appreciated.
  12. Check in Dashboard > Config > Configurations > Virus Scan. This is what Labtech looks at to see if an AV is present. We had an issue recently where Webroot had somehow installed the 32bit version on a 64bit system. So the exe was in program files x86, but the labtech was only looking in program files for 64bit windows systems. So we had to create a new one to look there.
  13. Thanks for that, was just about to start looking at it, saved me a bunch of time!
  14. I see this has gone to a paid plugin now. When did that happen? Would have been nice to have the plugin let us know it was expiring before having to click on it and find out Fair price I think, you have done some great work on this.
  15. One last question. We want to use a main _Admin account for login to client sites. Is there a way we can do this and see the password that gets set by random? Cause we have _Service to be used for each of the service accounts, and also _Admin which is for a main account to use, but no idea how we can find the password that gets set for that? (I guess without logging in to the admin LT user.
