  1. I hope everyone is off to a well, and productive, week. Michael Priest has completed the initial release of the plugin for you to now utilize. The overall concept is simple and the process is similar to what we described on the podcast. The only requirement is a CSV file import. This file is REQUIRED to be used and it must be in the format we have provided. If you alter the CSV file, there will be no assistance to troubleshoot issues. There are some optional columns that may be removed which we will highlight. The installation process is smooth, simply visit http://www.michaelpriest.com.au/index.php/labtech-solutions/labtech-plugins/labtech-plugin-installer.html to download Michael's installer and it will be listed in the options available. This will install all the prereq's required and you can then begin to import. I've attached the full CSV file below. 1.0 will not have Darren's special lockout code. That will be coming in a future update! The Phone/Address/City/State/Zip are not required fields just make sure to remove the columns. I would like to remind anyone who uses this, that is is as-is. We will attempt to help resolve issues and fix bugs as we have the available time. demo.csv
  2. https://youtu.be/kvkeaCMLCGM Enjoy!
  3. We had Perch Security on for this geekcast to show us about Threat Intelligence!
  4. Good {{TIME_DAY}}, We have opened the permissions to uploading to the Downloads section to authorized users. If you would like to be an authorized user, feel free to post here requesting that permission (if you have something useful to add) or poke me on Slack @kspooner . Only registered users can download files from the section. Let me know if you have any questions.
  5. Not with the old notes. With the new notes you might be able to CSS override them. The override works like External File -> Internal CSS Section -> Tag itself. The manually set each tag in the old notes so you can't override them. If you are referring to the overall email itself and not just the ticket notifications, yes you can change overall email itself yes I cover it in the VoD above.
  6. I will link the VoD, i am working on getting it uploaded to youtube, once its done I will add the link. Twitch VoD will only be available for 14 days. If you have any questions/comments, feel free to ask me or post here. @kspooner on slack. HTML Files Attached for the code. Feel free to edit the template to your hearts extent, and don't forget plenty of testing. New_Template.html Template.html
  7. MSPGeek has created a github company for anyone who would like to open source their codebase to the public. You retain all permission sets if you'd like or you can leave it to the team to (eventually, sometimes) manage the repo for you. Also if you'd like to open source some documentation or policies we have a section for that. With the slack channel not always retaining the cool things the community shares, the forums and the github will be the perfect place. If you'd like us to host something feel free to reach out. https://github.com/mspgeek *****WARNING**** Anything you access/download/compile/utilize/look at is your choice and could potentially break your systems for ever. Utilize this resource at your own risk, and anyone associated or managing the GitHub repo's will not be liable for you using these resources.
  8. The donation button will be there for ever.
  9. Dear Community, Almost two years ago we asked for donations and we have since used those funds to help bolster the community by investing in tools and technology to make it easier to collaborate, share content (like our forums) and also keep the servers and services that power our core infrastructure running. The breakdown of what that money was used for is below: - Server Hosting Fees - Email Services - Meeting Software for Geek Casts/Meetings - Forum Software and Support - Domain Costs - Trademark Registration We are once again asking for the community's help to keep the lights on. If you feel you have gained knowledge, assistance, or just fun times, please consider donating. We have added a donation button on the upper right of the forums, also accessible here CLICK HERE The admin staff want to add those who donate to a special donation group to mark your support but if you would prefer to keep the donation anonymous please donate here: CLICK HERE We are excited by how much we have grown and changed in the past year and a half, and hope the community continues to grow at its amazing pace. Thank you all for a being a part of this amazing journey. Don't forget to those going to IT Nation Explore in June that the entire admin staff (for the first time ever) will be all in attendance. That includes @Gavsto and @darrenwhite99 for those of you who owe adult beverages. Sincerely, Darren White (@DarrenWhite99), Gavin Stone (@Gavsto), Mendy Green (@MGreen), Josh Ishak (@josh.ishak), Martyn Keigher (@MartynKeigher), Kyle Spooner (@kspooner), Michael Priest (@Michael Priest)
  10. I would not utilize this as a plugin anymore. This was developed a long time ago and the Dashing backend has since been discontinued by Shopify. Smashing has replaced it but thats not by the same group. I would utilize Grafrana (also free) to do dashboards.
  11. This is not something this community will help you with as it gets into area's we don't want any responsibility with.
  12. I don't. I never got a script to rename working fully working on multiple machines.
  13. Its not labtech, its the machine. Make sure you have creds that are correct, you could also attempt to rename with CMD
  14. If this gets to a point where you are comfortable with it, let me know and we can give you permissions to the downloads section where you can upload this.
  15. That is for plugins made specifically by Shannon. At least that's what it has been i don't think its changed. We do not yet have a repo for plugins.
  16. For those who see this, please fill out this form. Thank you so much from the geekcast team! https://goo.gl/forms/EC2sPfxABaOZ8tfJ3
  17. We embark on journey to learn more about Malware and how it infects your systems! We also spend some time discussing points on social engineering and how to possibly fix some of these issues!
  18. 1) Don't learn SQL as it relates to LT. Learn it like you would anything else. Add it to LT after you know what you are doing. 2) LT's DB is badly designed. I'm not talking about MySQL. The table layouts and column names and what goes where and how a connects to b. I guess thats what you get when you don't have design requirements and 5,000 different people make changes 3) Monitors are SQL related, and I only mean related. If you plan to RAWSQL everything then it matches but LabTech likes to GUI everything so you have to learn how their GUI frontend will do what you want on the backend and sometimes it wont. 4) Be careful with scripting as that can have some unintended issues and loops. Just be comfortable prior to taking on LTScripts with SQL. https://www.w3schools.com/sql/ Start here. And experiment. SELECT is your friend, don't ever UPDATE/INSERT/DELETE without you knowing what is going to happen AND having backups.
  19. No, We really should get a section up for stuff like that. but Generally what you posted might get you some PM's anyway. I'd edit it to include what you are looking for.
  20. I've added this to the OP but just in case: LT12 Does not include the Dataview Creator. Keep a Lab of 11 so you can create DV's and export/import them.
  21. Thanks to everyone who joined us! We had a fantastic turn out and a fantastic engagement from the community. BIG thanks to our guests and I hope we can get another one of these done soon! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHpF9bOo8HA
  22. ANOTHER LIVE STREAM YOU SAY? WHEN YOU SAY? WHO YOU SAY? We are on tonight for another live stream! Sorry for the late notice on this one community, but we wanted to make sure we had some special guests! (and boy are they special!) So for what we are dubbing currently the "GeekCast" is a podcast that will discuss all wide ranging things from what we do, how our thought processes work, how we accomplish task and other amazing things. Myself and Tyler (@hikato) will be running this for now and we will attempt to have guests on the show. Yes, this will be recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel. We will also attempt to answer some questions from the twitch chat if possible and doesn't interrupt the show too much. GET ON WITH WHO'S GOING TO BE ON Fine...Fine.. At 7:30 PM Eastern Time, The GeekCast will host Darren White (@DarrenWhite99) and Chris Taylor (@CTaylor)! We look forward to you joining us on this momentous occasion at the same place (Twitch.tv/labtechgeek).
