  1. @Labtechuser1 I'm having the same issue. Any luck on this topic?
  2. Is this still the fix for AVG Free? I have the latest version for 2017.
  3. Just wanted to see if anyone has a new or edited script to uninstall and update to the latest version of Java 8.111 (at time of this post). I have clients with x86 and x64 versions of Windows and Java.
  4. Script worked great, thanks "troms"
  5. I have a scheduled call at 3:30 est today with LabTech about an installer for Java so I'm going to ask about an uninstaller for Quicktime, Flash and other programs.
  6. In recent news about the vulnerability in Quicktime I am looking for an uninstaller for Windows. Has anyone put one together? https://www.us-cert.gov/ncas/alerts/TA16-105A http://time.com/4295733/pc-quicktime-danger/
  7. I looked into AppCare and found that all its features would be a great fit so I contacted our LabTech rep and found out that AppCare is not available on Cloud Clients, we have been hosted with LabTech since day one. What are some other solutions? Can anyone write a script for x86 Java?
  8. Am I the only one managing Java updates? Does anyone else update Java? How are you doing it?
  9. Ok, I must have messed something up because it doesn't install either version now. Here it is. 11. No problem. I have a decent scale of clients with both version x86 and x64. I was trying to write a script that would first uninstall all versions of java first then pause (undetermined amount of time) then install both the latest version of Java but hit a wall. I can run an uninstaller and it works fine but I can't seem to tie the two together. Maybe I'll tweak your script.
  12. That worked great but it only installed the x64 though. Do I just add a line in the script to include the x86 version of Java? 114687 is the x86 version, 114689 is the x64. I ended up adding a line and fixing the x86/x64 issue. Testing now . . .
  13. I'm having an issue with the latest Java update. I reconfigured the 8.45 script to include the new version of Java (114687-x86, 114689-x64) by just changing those download numbers and everything seems to work until it see that there is another version on the existing computer. Here is the error I get: "Java software version 8.0.450 was found to already be installed. Exiting Script." I'm thinking it is in line 6 of the script: 6 >SELECT `Version` FROM software WHERE ComputerID = @computerid@ AND `Name` LIKE 'Java%' LIMIT 1 Java JRE v8.71.zip

    Java Updates

This is a script that I modify with each version of Java as it comes out. If I ever have any problem it is usually because there is an older version of Java on the PC. I have to manually uninstall any version older than 7.x for this script to work every time but after I do that I can deploy it to all my clients in a group. Java JRE v8.60.zip
