I just wanted to share my experience with this, in case anyone else is experiencing the same issue: I also needed to remove the * from the AP Process field When I copied and pasted the values from harryboyne's original post, it wasn't working. I pinpointed this to some sort of issue with the Definition Location (I noticed this when pasting it into PowerShell--there was a trailing "?"). After typing this field in manually into the Labtech Dashboard, it worked fine. As a general note, I've found that Labtech isn't good about refreshing the Virus Scan templates after editing/saving an existing entry. When testing out different AV entries, I always delete and create a new entry in the Dashboard with each modification rather than editing my existing entry. Also, I avoid using the regular Control Center for seeing the results since the Computer screen is slow to refresh (either requiring to reload system cache or even closing/reopening the whole Control Center). The web Control Center shows the detected AV (after updating configs and resending system information on the agent and then refreshing the webpage).
  3. I'm hoping to setup monitoring to identify agents that are offline in LT but online in SC or vice versa. I've looked through all the "plugin_screenconnect*" SQL tables and I've done searching here on MSPGeek and haven't found if there's a solution for this. Does the ScreenConnect plugin save the SC agent online status somewhere in the LT database?
  4. What does the "Allow text password copy to clipboard" setting do? If it does what I think it sounds like (copies the selected password to the clipboard), how is it utilized? I'm not able to find any documentation about this setting. On a separate note, does anyone see a SC version mismatch? My extensions page shows 1.0.21 since updating it there, whereas my Helper "Help Info" indicates SC: 1.0.19, LT: No apparent loss of functionality.

  6. Not sure if I'm missing something obvious, but after hiding a password, I can't bring it back. Pressing the eye icon to "show hidden" just gives the following error: Is there a way to undo hiding a password?
  7. With a recent update to Symantec.Cloud (currently, we needed to update the Program Location to be Navw32.exe instead of NIS.exe: Program Location: {%-HKLM\SOFTWARE\Norton\{0C55C096-0F1D-4F28-AAA2-85EF591126E7}:INSTALLDIR-%}\Navw32.exe All other settings we left as listed in my original post.
  8. That may not resolve the issue with this Labtech monitor as your host would simply start booting your VMs when the vmms service gets started by Labtech. This is just my guess--I have not tested it. An easy fix (not in Labtech) is to specify a long enough Startup delay in each VM's Hyper-V configuration to be long enough to avoid being started during the host's shutdown. Full disclosure: I have not tested this.
  9. I just set the autofix action as "Do Nothing" for the time being. I've notified Labtech and hopefully they'll modify it with more intelligent logic to prevent this unintended behavior.
  10. We saw various Hyper-V virtual machines having unclean shutdowns and eventually pinned it down to the default autofix action of the SVC-vmms monitor (i.e. start the service). The problem is that it was attempting to start the vmms service during planned reboots of the Hyper-V host after it put VMs in a saved state. This caused the VMs to be brought out of a saved state DURING the host's shutdown, resulting in an unclean shutdown. We've seen this mostly with Server 2016, but also a few 2012 R2 hosts.
  11. We currently have an on-premise LT server with 1000 agents and running screenconnect as well. We're thinking of moving from on-premise to Azure hosted VM and were hoping to get advice about what type of Azure (or EC2) hosted instance other community members are using. Pricing it out based on the resources used by our on premise VM results in a pretty expensive instance, but we also throw all available resources at it (6 hyperthreaded cores, 23GB RAM, 200GB disk space). Does anyone have real-world guidance in choosing the resources for making this transition?
  12. Sorry to necro this thread, but I just wanted to post the script I came up with to set 20% of computers (including workstations AND servers) to the pilot stage. It is a bit more concise than the previous examples given and should be more efficient to run as well since it avoids all the looping and therefore only randomly resorts the list a single time.
  13. I've been working through making Labtech recognize version of Symantec.Cloud AV (aka Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition) but was running into issues. Through some testing and inspiration from others on this board, I've come up with the following settings. Just wanted to share back to the community...
