  1. Hi guys, First time poster and hit a bit of a snag, Automate support haven't been very helpful so I'm hoping you will come though. Our clients require their workstations to be patched every 2nd tuesday or 3rd wednesday of the month. Set days like the 1st/18th don't work for them as this could potentially land on a weekend. We have sent manual emails before now to alert them but we would like to automate this. From what I can see I can schedule scripts to send automated emails on a set date but nothing that will allow for the 2nd tuesday etc. I'm just wondering if anybody has been in a similar position and how they've tackled it? Do you use a third party email application to send recurring emails? Or am I missing something here? Thanks Stephen
  2. so the first image is the code inside my execute script line and then it does in fact create the email with the csv file however its returning length which I am assuming is the amount of bytes as bits? idk but if anyone had this issue or knows why its not returning the content I would love to know
  3. so currently I have a script that Uploads a txt file that I create inside my script. However, I want my script to delete the uploaded file after I send it in an email. I thought I could do delete file and specify the location of the online server but it is still checking for it locally. How can I add a line in my script to remove that file from the LTShare server after its sent in an email?
  4. After some time I've been mostly focusing on the tech side of things with Connectwise but now I feel I need to really dig into other features I haven't used before and unfortunately I've asked CW for help and they just want more $ simply so I can track email which seems a bit unnecessary. I can send emails through Wix and get results back so I feel CW should be able to do the same and simpler...FALSE! Like everything else I'm being told there's more set up be done. CW should of been bought by IKEA with all the setting up to do! I was told that I would need to go to CW Developer and to be honest, I'm in here and see what seems to be the last step but no instructions on where to go and how to do things. Any help on this would be great! For Example: RecordEmailOpened POST /v4_6_release/apis/2.0/MarketingApi.asmx HTTP/1.1 Host: cw.connectwise.net Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8 Content-Length: length SOAPAction: "http://connectwise.com/RecordEmailOpened" <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"> <soap:Body> <RecordEmailOpened xmlns="http://connectwise.com"> <credentials> <CompanyId>string</CompanyId> <IntegratorLoginId>string</IntegratorLoginId> <IntegratorPassword>string</IntegratorPassword> </credentials> <campaignId>int</campaignId> <contactId>int</contactId> <dateOpened>dateTime</dateOpened> </RecordEmailOpened> </soap:Body> </soap:Envelope> What am I supposed to do with this? I see other videos that state I need to set up an Integrator in setup tables. OK what am I integrating or adding in here, a 3rd party like hubspot or mailchimp or should I add my O365 information?
  5. Hi all, New to Automate and learning to handle its vast capabilities of automation. I have a monitor that checks for devices not discovered on the network for a setting time period e.g. 7days. It works fine it sends an email to the registered email in the alert template when a new device is discovered. However I want to improve the automation with this monitor/alert/script. I would like to create a script that when the monitor is trigger the alert runs. I want this script to collate a list of the devices by "client/location" generated from the monitor and rather than send individual repeated emails to same client(email field) I would like it to input all the devices not seen for more than eg 7days into the automate email and email the client(selected email field). I had a look at running a search and creating search groups but it seems like this would lead to various obstacles. I believe their should be a way to script what I want automate to do so It looks up the list of devices, looks up the client name, groups it and emails it to the contact for that client. Not sure if that make sense. Thanks in advance.
  6. We're looking for a way to notify a distribution group any time a new agent is added to our Automate Server. I briefly searched in the forums, but didn't see anything. I asked Automate Support, but they said they don't have anything that will do this. Does anyone have any ideas?
