ScreenConnect 4 Labtech integration - single click

Recommended Posts

I'm having a strange problem with the ScreenConnect Click Once Command.

The GUIDs are all generated in the EDFs, yet when I select a certain computer and run the command, it only goes to one certain PC in the list which is the wrong PC.

This is the URL I have as the command "https://MySCserver.com/Host#All Machines//%eScreenConnect GUID%/Join"

Why would it be joining the session on just one pc, when it should be going to the pc with the specific GUID in the EDF?

The deployment script works great though!

Thank you!

I was having some trouble running it through Chrome,

Try setting your internet explorer security settings to low and try it, that it what I had to do.

Thanks for the quick repsonse. Any particluar setting? I put everything to low and still getting this in Chrome.

Set internet explorer as your default browser, set IE's security setting to low, add your screenconnect website to your trusted sites and try again, Chrome unfortunately does not integrate well with single click connect (At least in my experience).

See if that works for you!

Also, see if your command has the right path, "https://yourSCserver/Host#All Machines//%eScreenConnect GUID%/Join"

If the PC you are trying to access does not have a GUID generated, then you most likely will receive an error.

Thanks, but still the same thing. I really appreciate it.

I don't know if you saw that I edited my post, :)

If you want, run PSR and record the steps to this error. PSR can be run by just hitting the start menu and searching for "PSR"

You can PM me the PSR file to see if maybe I can help you out.

Thanks. I really appreciate this. I am running into a new issues now however. The Screenconnect GET GUID script is failing on Step 5 with the following:

The script(5254) failed in the THEN section at step 5

Start Screenconnect Get GUID

IF Software Installed Parameter1: %screenconnect% Parameter2: Parameter3: Time Taken: 34051.9816858

L1 Shell Parameters Hidden Time Taken: 34052.086695

L2 Variable Set Parameter1: 0 Parameter2: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Curr Parameter3: scstring Time Taken: 34056.1967083

L3 Script String Functions Parameter1: 22 Parameter2: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Screen Parameter3: = Time Taken: 34059.3017347

L4 Script String Functions Parameter1: 0 Parameter2: 432ca15d-c618-40b3-a4bc-87c8e1 Parameter3: 36 Time Taken: 34059.402742

L5 ExtraData Set Value Parameter1: 5bd6af1a-78bb-11e3-8993-00155d Parameter2: 4980 Parameter3: 432ca15d-c618-40b3-a4bc-87c8e1 Time Taken: 34059.5037332

I have created 2 EDF fields and can see them under the default tab

Screenconnect GUID

ScreeenConnect Linked

When I try to edit the script I cant even look at step 5 and get the following error:

error loading script: Syntax error: Missing operand after 'bd6af1a' operator

Any help is appreciated!

are you talking about connecting to xp machines or connecting from them?

Also please don't cross post in multiple threads, 1 is sufficient for someone to see your question.

I think this may be related to multiple screenconnect instances installed on your machine. i'm seeing similar issues and haven't found resolution yet.

I am also getting the same error. I think there is an error with the script export/import itself, because I get that error when just editing the script before running it on any machines.

I ended up deleting step 5 and re-creating that step.
