Finding Disk Monitors

Recommended Posts

So I have been tasked to clean up noise being produced by Automate tickets.  One of which is Disk Space tickets for Workstations.  We have decided we do not care about these enough to fill our ticket queues with them, but wish to continue to work any tickets for Server Disk Space issues.

I have dug around the monitors and found at the Global level, the DRV monitors are set to Do Nothing; however when I look at a Workstation's Effective Policy there is a Remote Monitor called Disk that is creating tickets, but is not associated with a group.

Where do I control those monitors?

The remote monitors for disk space are created by a script: Scripts\_System Automation\Agent Maintenance\Agent Monitor Creation - Disk*

That script is called by 2 other scripts:

  • Scripts\_System Automation\Agent Maintenance\Agent Monitor Creation*
    • called by Scripts\_System Automation\Agent Maintenance\Agent Maintenance - Contract*
    • also called by Scripts\_System Automation\Onboarding\Onboarding
  • Scripts\Maintenance\Agent\Agent Monitors - Disk - Remove and Rebuild

Do not edit these scripts directly, it will get overwritten when you update LT.

Copy the script, rename then edit it.

So if I do copy and rename, do I clear the schedule run for the old one and schedule the new one? or is that done elsewhere?
