Run custom script when device is offline

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'd like to be able to run a custom script (Which calls a URL) when a device goes offline.

Is this possible? If so where would I go to find information on how to do this?

Would I need a device inside the same network which monitors and then first of the custom script when something goes offline?

Thanks,

Brainstorming, I'm thinking of copying the default "LT - Offline Master Computers" or "LT - Offline Servers" monitor, put it on a group that has this PC in it, and have it call a script that uses "LTServer Download to Server" script function to call your URL?

Configure a special monitor to trigger a script when the agent is offline based on your criteria.

In the script just use SQL to pull a list of agents that are online at that location within the same subnet etc then execute whatever commands you require after setting the active computerid to one of the online agents.
