Delete Computer Out of Screenconnect/control

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to script this during the offboarding of a computer? We really don't want to give everyone access to screenconnect/control if we don't have to, and not just to delete computers.

That's actually already baked into CWA in a script called Offboarding

Maintenance > Agent > Offboarding

Will This work on a screenconnect instance not installed on the LT server? We simply have it on another server.

I think so. I think it calls the same command that's sent when you right click on the Control icon and select "disable" from the computer management screen. If it works from there, then it should work from the script too... but I'll verify that and get back with you.

Thank for looking into it! But I already took that code out of the stock off-boarding script and it doesn't work. It uninstalls off the machine just fine, but it still just an offline computer in the screenconnect console.

I have found the OffBoarding scripts do not remove from Control.

As we are a small business all of our techs have access to both.
Our process is to run the off-boarding script the remove them from CC.

Looking into the script i suspect the detection maybe not have been updated when ScreenConnect changed to Control.

Ive just done some testing on my own PC.

Ive found even just running the uninstall command alone it does nothing.

So i suspect the problem is in the image ive included. 1005420079_Annotation2020-01-17095119.thumb.png.31624c2b0fa4306e8967c7a9151ff73b.png
