Disable non essential web exposure

Recommended Posts

Hi,

give recent issues I wonder if there are any guides for disabling and clearing everything not absolutely essential in IIS? I'm happy to have reduced functionality and to do more manually.

We don't use WCC2. We only every logon to web client or thick client from same group of known IPs.

The only thing I need from public internet is agent check-in I think.

Most of files in my Labtech wwwroot (other than recent problems) haven't changed since 2016.

There's no guide written up per se. There will be a write up for Nginx soon (as a reverse proxy and disabling various areas). The /labtech/ IIS Application is one of the critical pieces in there you have Deployment.aspx, ControlCenter.asmx and Agent.aspx. Those three are critical for deploying agents, agent check-ins, and Control Center access (thick client).

Thanks. Is idea of Nginx to limit access to Deployment.aspx, ControlCenter.asmx?
