Patch Manager Reboot Policy Setting

Recommended Posts

We are implementing a new policy with how we do patching but we have some workstations that run tests that require them to stay online sometimes for a month or more at a time. We don't want to remove them from managed patching but we do need to make sure we have some kind of reboot policy in place that will prevent the PCs from restarting until we are sure they are able to reboot without causing issues. I created a script which can be seen in the image attached, I just want to make sure this is going to do what I think it is and as soon as a reboot flag is raised when a patch is installed, it will start and continue to run the script until it completes (someone clicks yes or reboots). And that it won't only run the script during the update window which is set for late at night.
